I’ve been inspecting furniture for years, and one question I often get is why solid wood is preferred over other materials. The durability and ability to repair scratches are big factors, but the aesthetic appeal of real grain is hard to beat. Does anyone else appreciate the unique character that only natural wood can provide?
I find that applying a good wood conditioner before finishing can really enhance the natural grain and texture. It helps the finish absorb evenly, giving it that extra pop. Have you experimented with any particular types of finishes, @hernandez36?
