Edition tracking and finish notes — what works

I’m prepping a spring show with three designers and a couple of chair editions of 8, and my Airtable + Dropbox setup is buckling under finish variants (oiled ash vs ebonized oak), COAs, and provenance updates. Has anyone moved to Artlogic or CatalogIt with QR labels on plinths so staff can pull specs on the floor, and if so, did it cleanly handle edition numbers and finish codes without duplicate records? Clean, shareable records are key when we’re telling each designer’s story to press and collectors.

, I totally get your pain with managing all those finishes and editions. I recently switched to Artlogic and while the QR labels are a lifesaver for quick access, I found the edition tracking still needs some manual tweaking. It’s a bummer if you’re relying on it to keep everything neat, but it does help to keep the COAs all in one place.

Switching to Artlogic really streamlined my tracking process. Their QR labels make it easy for staff to access specs, and my edition tracking is way clearer now. Just a heads up, make sure you double-check how it handles multiple finish variants; I had a few hiccups there. @jackson_san30, have you noticed any issues with that?
