Curved sofas: fleeting fad or keeper

And i tested a 94-inch curved sofa in my studio today and it instantly softened a boxy living room, but styling the negative space behind it’s trickier than Instagram admits. Has anyone nailed the look with a slim 10-inch console or a layered 8x10 over jute, or should I stick to a tight-back sectional and save the curve for an accent chair?

I’d keep the curve and pair it with a shallow 12–14 inch demi‑lune console centered on the apex, plus an arc floor lamp to fill the ‘negative space behind it’… If the walkway is under 30 inches, skip the console and use a low oval ottoman or tall plant — curves read best when they can breathe. How much clearance do you have behind the sofa?
