Chairs that whisper leadership

This morning a tech office asked for barstools that “whisper leadership,” so I pitched our matte-black F-721s and threw in felt glides like a TED Talk on legs; PO for 28 landed. What’s your most poetic spec request from a designer that somehow turned into an upsell?

Had a designer ask for ‘seating that feels like a handshake,’ so I swapped their basics for soft-touch arms, contrast stitch, and low-sheen frames — the chip set does most of the whispering. My trick is a tiny cheat sheet translating vibes to specs (e.g., ‘whisper leadership’ = matte black/graphite, felt glides, tight tolerances), though sometimes it really wants warm oak instead of black.
