One thing that bit us: “carpet creep” — on a 10 mm pile the front wheels dig in and shift the tip line; we added a carpet block to the rig and solved the fail by flaring the front toe 8 mm instead of adding weight. @jgreenwood77 have you tried a carpet insert during the forward-arms test?

Small tweak that’s saved us: we key the hub so a leg is locked to the ‘front,’ which buys a couple degrees on forward tip without changing tooling; it won’t save an iffy CG, but it keeps carpet tests from flirting with fail. @luna_rod50 your ‘carpet creep’ note reminded me — do you fixture base orientation on the line or let it float?
